1) It’s time once again for Savoy Jazz Mondays. Always hosted by the venerable Roger Humphries and his trio, today’s special guest is jazz/blues vocalist Shari Richards. 5 to 9 p.m. No cover. Savoy Restaurant 2623 Penn Ave. Strip District.

2) Jergel’s  Rhythm Grille is throwing a party tonight for the NCAA national championship game: Alabama vs. Notre Dame.  Before the big game their will be live music from local Irish rock band Corn Beef and Curry (6-8 p.m.). No cover. 103 Slade Lane.

3) South Side’s Club Cafe holds it’s AcoutsiCafe Open Stage night tonight. Stop by and enjoy Pittsburgh’s newest talents. Hosted by Caleb Lovely, the event starts at 7 p.m. no cover. 56-58 S. 12th St.

4) The winter season  is a great time to take a guided or self-guided tour of  the University of Pittsburgh’s Nationality Rooms in the Cathedral of Learning. Through touring and exploring the Nationality Rooms you get a deeper look into the culture and customs of the many countries that make up the heritage of Pittsburgh and Allegheny County’s past, present and future.
