Cool Picks Monday July 16, 2012

1) It’s Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix Race Week in Pittsburgh with events going on all week. Tonight is the Invitational Car Show on Walnut Street. Here you’ll see a really cool collection of historic and hot cars and some hot historic cars. 5-9 p.m.. Walnut Street, Shadyside.

2) Neko Case, folk/pop rocker with beautiful red hair,  plays Mr. Small’s Funhouse tonight with special guest, Kelly Hogan. All ages show, 8 p.m. 400 Lincoln Avenue, Millvale.

3) Featured shows at the Carnegie Science Center’s Buhl Digital Planetarium are: The Sky Above Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood; One World, One Sky: Big Bird’s Adventure; Stars over Pittsburgh; Infinity Express; Classic Rock Laser Show; Two Small Pieces of Glass.

4) Dolphin Tale (PG) is the Dollar Bank CITIPARKS Cinema in the Park movie showing tonight on Reservoir Drive in Highland Park. at dusk. The star of the movie is Winter the Dolphin, who lost her tail after it became entangled in a crab trap in the Gulf of Mexico. She was brought to the Clearwater Marine Acquarium for treatment, rehabilitation and ultimately a prosthetic tail.

5) Industrial dance generated by Edmonton, Alberta’s iVardensphere with W.A.S.T.E., AD.VER.SARY, and END: THE DJ. at Garfield Artworks, 7:30 p.m. show. 4931 Penn Avenue, Garfield.
