Cool Picks brings you the best in Pittsburgh entertainment every day!

1) Artist and fashion illustrator Cindy Engler is showcasing her beautiful art creations in the Fashion to Passion 3 “pop-up” art show in Sewickley this weekend. Engler has painted a fantastic series in oil paints of fashionably dressed “rock ‘n’ roll women.” When asked where the inspiration for these women came from,  she says  “they just seem like the cool kind of women who I’d like to hang out with.” She should know, her husband, Rich Engler is a longtime famous Pittsburgh music promoter. Engler has also created a very interesting series of decorated animal skulls which she adorns with colored glass tiles that she makes and paints. Many new pieces will be debuted at this show. 11  a.m. – 6 p.m., today and tomorrow. 429 Broad Street (the former Travelwares site), Sewickley. To see photos of Engler’s work visit the Artistry section of Entertainment Central.
