1) Mozart’s opera, Don Giovanni takes the stage at the Benedum tonight. Don Giovanni is a tale of an Italian lover with many conquests who is undone by his own behavior. Sung in Italian with English texts projected above the stage, it was originally premiered by the Prague Italian Opera in 1787. Runs through November 11th. 8 p.m. Benedum Center. 7th Street, between Liberty & Penn Ave., Downtown Cultural District.

2) Justin Townes Earle is in town tonight at Mr.Smalls Funhouse. Earl is a singer/songwriter who won the 2011 Americana Music Award for ‘Song of the Year.”  His hybrid style mixes the blues, folk and Memphis soul music.  The son of alternative-country musician Steve Earle, he has spent some time touring with his father’s band, the Dukes. Special guest is Tift Merritt. 8 p.m. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

3) Rockin’ blues band 8th Street Rox plays Frankie’s in Squirrel Hill. 9 p.m., 5840 Forward Ave.

4) Rivers Casino is extra happening tonight with Walk of Shame, a “party rock” band (9 p.m. – 1 a.m.) in the Wheelhouse Bar & Grill, and DJ Scottro (9:30 p.m. -1:30 a.m.) in the Drum Bar. 777 Casino Dr., North Shore.
