1) Singer/songwriter/storyteller Steve Earle brings his large song catalog to Carnegie Lecture Hall tonight. Best known for his hit song,” Copperhead Road,” his songs weave together a rich tapestry of music and American life. Opening is Charlie Mars. 7:30 p.m. Oakland.

2) Granite Falls, North Carolina native Eric Church, makes Downtown Pittsburgh a little patch of country tonight with his “Blood, Sweat & Beers Tour.”  Church’s #1 summer hit “Springsteen,” is sure to be one of the hits played tonight in addition to his previous #1 single “Drink in my Hand.” Tour openers are Justin Moore and Kip Moore. 7:35 p.m. Consol Energy Center, Uptown.

) Loudon Wainwright III. who attended CMU for awhile in the Sixties before heading out to, where else, San Fransisco, performs tonight at the Rex Theater. Wainwright is an insightful, quirky singer/songwriter who’s led an interesting life, which translates into his music. 8 p.m. 1602 E. Carson St., South Side.

4) Sts. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Orthodox Church is holding a Ukrainian Food Festival featuring: pyrohy/pierogie, holupsti/stuffed cabbage, kielbasa, borscht, pastries and more. 11:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. 220 Mansfield Boulevard, Carnegie.
