Cool Picks Sunday July 15, 2012

1) Classic rock superstar, consummate eccentric showman (and avid golfer) Alice Cooper brings his hits, including: School’s Out, I’m EighteenNo More Mr. Nice Guy, to Stage AE.  Opening artist is Blue Coupe. All ages, outdoor show, 6:30 p.m. North Shore.

2) First Niagara Pavilion keeps their busy weekend rockin’ with the Grammy Award winning, Zac Brown Band. Brown and his band deliver a mix of country, southern rock, folk and bluegrass.. 7 p.m. show, Burgettstown.

3) CITIPARKS Bach Beethoven and Brunch features Cello Fury in concert from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Mellon Park, Shadyside.

4) SouthSide Works Exposed Festival continues today with I MADE IT! artists market and Kids Korner ( including kid friendly activities, arts & crafts, airbrush tattoos, sand art, face painitng, caricatures). Two stages of entertainment features: Tres Lads, Lava Game, Good Guys Duo, The Cabaret of Curiosities, The Darling Douglasses. Noon -6 p.m. SouthSide Works. South Side.

5) Irish singer-songwriter, James Vincent McMorrow, makes nice musical notes at the forest amphitheater stage at Allegheny County’s Hartwood Acres. 7:30 p.m.
