1) Fiona Apple plays Stage AE tonight. Apple, a singer/songwriter and pianist is touring in support of her 4th studio album with popular single “Every Single Night” from the album “The Idler Wheel is Wiser Than the Driver of the Screw and Whipping Cords Will Serve You More Than Ropes Will Ever Do.” Opening artist is Blake Mills. 7 p.m., North Shore.

2) Another singer/songwriter of note, Brandi Carlile, is performing in concert tonight at WVU’s Mountain Stage. Also on the bill are: The Trishas; Ben Taylor; Logan Venderlic; Kat Edmonson. Doors open 6:30 p.m. Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre, 2261 Monongahela Blvd., Morgantown, WV.

3) Autumnfest continues at Seven Springs Mountain Resort today with antique tractors and cars; indoor and outdoor activities for all,  including a canopy zip line, alpine slide, climbing wall, and more. Entertainers and musicians will be taking the stages all day long. Sputzy And The Soul Providers crank out their soulful jams at noon, 2 & 4 p.m. Paver Circle Stage.

4) David Sedaris, one of America’s foremost humorists on culture, politics and the human condition, is appearing at Heinz Hall today. His satirical and sardonic pieces are often featured in the “New Yorker” magazine. Presented by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. 7 p.m. 600 Penn Ave., Downtown Cultural District.

5) Guitarist Tony Janflone Jr. plays at The Carson City Saloon from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Enjoy some great rock music then stick around for the Steelers vs. Bengals game. The Carson City Saloon features some nice game-day specials. 1401 E. Carson St., Southside.
