1. Def Leppard‘s “Rock of Ages” tour continues as the internationally famous heavy metal band performs tonight at First Niagara Pavilion. The tour also features American glam metal band Poison, which gained global popularity in the late 80’s with the help of their hit single “Every Rose Has Its Thorn.” Lead singer Bret Michaels hails from Butler County. 7 p.m.

2. The doors of Stage AE open at 4 p.m. to present the “Trespass America Festival.” Headlining is heavy metal band Five Finger Death Punch. The show also includes Killswitch Engage, Trivium, Pop Evil, Emmure, God Forbid and Battlecross. Outdoor show. North Shore.

3. The Southside’s Diesel Club Lounge offers a vivacious mixture of pop and punk-rock music tonight, with performances by Honor Society, Before You, Music From Another Room and one-man-band Polar Scout. 6 p.m., 1601 East Carson St., South Side.

4. The American Idol Live! 2012 tour stops in Pittsburgh tonight at the CONSOL Energy Center. The line-up consists of the top ten American Idol finalists, including the winner and Georgia native, Phillip Phillips. 7 p.m.

5. Originally from Los Angeles, Fear Factory will pay a visit to the Strip District tonight, performing at the Altar Bar. The band started in the early 90’s, blending industrial metal with death, groove and thrash metal and has helped shape the genre ever since. 7 p.m. 1620 Penn Ave. All ages.
