1) Sister Act opens tonight as part of PNC’s Broadway Across America series. The play is a noted musical comedy based on the highly successful film starring Whoopie Goldberg. In Sister Act, a singer who’s witnessed a crime is placed in the protective custody of a convent by the police.. That’s when the fun begins as together they take the church choir to a whole new level of fun and inspiration while also out witting the mobsters. 7:30 p.m. (pre-show talk tonight). Runs through Sunday. Benedum Center. 237 7th St., Cultural District.

2) Head on over and ski on Mt. Dew (Seven Springs Mountain Resort).  Tuesday’s are “Dewsday’s” at Seven Springs, receive a  complimentary Mountain Dew T-Shirt with each ski/snowboard pass sold that day. 3) Here’s a compelling pick if you’re a space aficionado like myself, Hubble,  an IMAX film chronicling the launch, repair and mission of the Hubble space telescope. The film also show’s spacewalking astronauts and “mind blowing” pictures of distant galaxies and constellations. Narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio. 11:15 a.m. & 3:15 p.m. Rangos Omnimax theater. Carnegie Science Center, North Shore.

4) Thunderbird Cafe’s “Space Exchange” series continues tonight with drummer, David Throckmorton. He’ll be joined by the rest of the new trio, Chris Parker (guitar) and Jeremy McDonald (bass). They play an improvisational mix of music, blending hip-hop, jazz and rock. 9 p.m. No cover. 4023 Butler St., Lawrenceville.
