1) Jergel’s Rhythm Grille is still running a very strong band lineup. Tonight it has the 1980’s new wave/ska/punk/reggae band The English Beat in concert. Some of the band’s biggest hits are: “Mirror in the Bathroom,” “Save It For Later” and “Too Nice To Talk To.” 8 p.m. 103 Slade Lane, Warrendale.

2) Book Exchange plays Monk, the music of jazz great Thelonious Monk , as part of the Thunderbird Cafe’s Space Exchange Series. Book Exchange is made up of Ben Opie, Jeff Grubbs and David Throckmorton. 9 p.m. No cover. 4023 Butler St., Lawrenceville.

3) The Almost are in concert tonight at Mr. Smalls Funhouse.  The Almost, a Christian rock band from Clearwater, Florida, are fronted by former Underoath vocalist and drummer Aaron Gillespie. Special guests are: All Get Out, Makeshift Prodigy and Model Class Citizens. 8 p.m. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

4) Cory Arcangel: Masters showcases the work of Arcangel, a digital, multimedia designer who uses Web, video, photos, sound and performance to create his art installations.  Those on display include a flat-screen TV, time-based videos and a modified video game. 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.  Continues through Sunday. Carnegie Museum of Art. 4400 Forbes Ave., Oakland.
