1) Scott, Rob, and Greg of the Pittsburgh rock band The Clarks are playing some great acoustic music sets  comprised of their own songs and covers. 8 p.m. Jergel’s Rhythm Grille 103 Slade Lane, Warrendale.

2) Latshaw Productions presents Latshaw Pops Christmas Show at 2 & 8 p.m. at the Palace Theatre.  The festive show features talented dancers and vocalists in a holiday variety show, backed by the Latshaw Pops Orchestra–all set against a brightly decorated stage with a guest appearance by jolly old Saint Nicholas.  21 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.

3) Hit The Lights, a pop/punk band from Lima, Ohio, are in town at the Strip’s Altar Bar. Also on tonight’s bill are bands A Loss for Words, WITH THE PUNCHES and Trophies. 7 p.m. 1620 Penn Ave.

4) No snow to speak of  in Pittsburgh yet, so if you want to get into the “winter” holiday spirit make a trip to the Carnegie Science Center’s Rangos Omnimax Theater. Currently showing are The Polar Express and To the Arctic. The Polar Express is an animated tale about a doubting young boy who wonders if Santa will visit his house. As he lies awake on Christmas Eve, a magical train and its conductor stop by and welcome him to join them on a fantastic voyage to see Santa at the North Pole. 3:15 p.m. To the Arctic , a never seen before film, follows a mother polar bear and her twin seven–month-old cubs as they overcome survival obstacles and roam their Arctic homeland. Narrated by Academy-award winning actress Meryl Streep. 11:15 a.m. &  2:15 p.m. One Allegheny Avenue, North Shore.
