Power Fight Talons (CP’s Sun. 4/28/13)

1) The Pittsburgh Power take on the San Antonio Talons in an Arena Football League match up this afternoon at Consol Energy Center. 2 p.m. 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.

2) Stage Right Productions presents Seussical the Musical at the Palace Theatre. All your favorite Dr. Suess characters will be there including Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Gertrude McFuzz, and lazy Mayzie. You’ll also meet Jojo, a little boy who dreams big. The Seussical fun tour includes stops at Circus McGurkus, Jungle of Nool and the invisible world of the Whos. 2 p.m. Ends today. 33 W. Otterman St., Greensburg.

3) Dream of Autumn haunts the Quantum Stage. Quantum Theatre does great plays by playwrights that few Americans have heard of. Jon Fosse, a Norwegian writer, has been compared to Samuel Beckett. So, instead of biding your time until the next revival of Beckett’s Waiting for Godot, why not see Fosse’s Dream of Autumn? Quantum has Karla Boos and Martin Giles playing the leads, in a version translated and directed by Sarah Cameron Sunde. It’s a spooky tale staged in a dead restaurant: the former Park Schenley at the Royal York. Ends today. 8 p.m.  3955 Bigelow Blvd., Oakland.

4) Get into the “swing of it” with the Jazz Conspiracy Big Band at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. Free swing dance lessons at 6:30 p.m., band starts at 7 p.m. 103 Slade Ln., Warrendale.
