Sharks Hit Power Line (CP’s Fri. 3/29/13)

1) Beware, (Jacksonville) Sharks are cruising our waters. They are in town for an Arena Football League match-up against  our Pittsburgh Power. 7 p.m. Consol Energy Center. 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.

2) Cry Fire with special guest Grain is playing the late show at Club Cafe tonight. A cross-genre band, Cry Fire draws influences from hard rock, blues and jazz. 10:30 p.m. 56-58 S. 12th St., South Side.

3) ” Cappyoke” combines two fun things, Cappy’s Cafe in Shadyside and karaoke! Have a few drinks (or not) and get up in front of the crowd to belt out your favorite songs with DJ Matt.  Also 22 oz. Miller Lite Monster drafts for only $3 and great burgers. 9:30 p.m. 5431 Walnut St.

4) With spring here and summer bathing suit season coming soon, it may be a good time to enjoy tasty vegan and vegetarian dishes. Some notable vegetarian restaurants include: Quiet Storm: Vegetarian + Vegan Cafe (5430 Penn Ave., Friendship); The Zenith: Vegetarian Cafe*Art Gallery*Antique Goldmine (86 S. 26th St., South Side) and, East End Food Co-op Cafe (7516 Meade St., North Point Breeze). Also, most Chinese and Indian restaurants offer a nice assortment of vegetarian and vegan dishes.
