Stars on Ice Skate at Consol; Cultural District Gallery Crawl (CPs Fri., 4/25/14)

1) You may have watched Meryl Davis and Charlie White win Gold in Ice Dancing at the Sochi Olympics, now watch them win the hearts of Pittsburghers. Davis, White, and other members of Bronze Medal U.S. Olympic figure skating team will perform a program of their best routines during a Pittsburgh stop of the Stars on Ice tour. The show was founded and is produced by Gold Medalist skater Scott Hamilton. 7:30 p.m. Consol Energy Center, 1001 Fifth Ave., Uptown.

2) Gallery Crawl in the Cultural District is happening tonight; it features visual arts, musical performances, and interactive exhibits. All events are free and take place at a variety of galleries,  art spaces, and venues. Some galleries offer drinks and hors d’oeuvres. 5:30 – 9 p.m., Cultural District.

3) Music director Manfred Honeck and the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra are presenting the Mozart Festival, an innovative exploration of Mozart’s music. One of the works performed for this weekend’s program is one of Mozart’s most popular pieces, Piano Concerto No. 20, a favorite of Beethoven and other romantic composers.  On Tuesday, the festival moves to the Carnegie Music Hall in Oakland (4400 Forbes Ave.) and is co-presented with the Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society. It concludes the following  Friday and Sunday, May 2 and May 4, with a third program back at Heinz Hall. 8 p.m. tonight. 600 Penn Ave, Cultural District.

4) Corey Holcomb is the next comic up at Pittsburgh’s funniest location, the Pittsburgh Improv. Holcomb has many gigs under his belt, including headlining two of his own comedy specials. He voices the recurring character Robert Tubbs on Fox’s “The Cleveland Show” and is a cast member on TV One’s “The Ricky Smiley Show.” 8 and 10:15 p.m. , with two shows tomorrow. 166 E. Bridge St., Homestead.

5) No Bad Juju is a local party band featuring a staggering eight members. This includes two lead vocalists and a horn section, which allows them to replicate the tracks of such beloved jumbo-sized bands as Parliament, Kool and the Gang, and Earth, Wind & Fire. Their set lists also include new hits from the likes of Katy Perry and Adele, as well as a few originals. This evening, they’ll be playing well into the night at Jergel’s Rhythm Grille. 9 p.m. 285 Northgate Dr., Warrendale.

6) Good Fridays at the Warhol is a weekly party at the museum, featuring art exhibits, music, and cocktails in the high temple to Andy Warhol’s numerous talents. Half-price museum admission. 5 – 10 p.m. 117 Sandusky St., North Shore.
