Pit Bull & Ke$ha to Rap First Niagara (CP’s Sun. 6/2/13)

1) PitBull and Ke$ha play the First Niagara Pavilion. Pit Bull (real name Armando Pérez) was born in Miami to Cuban parents and has become one of the nations most popular rappers, performing with Jennifer Lopez and Lil Jon. Ke$ha is a rapper/singer/songwriter who broke through on Flo Rida’s 2009 hit “Right Round.” 7 p.m 665 Rt. 18,  Burgettstown.

2) Tonight there’s a great punk-pop show with Philly’s The Starting Line, Pittsburgh’s Punchline and Paper States.The Starting Line headlines the show, one of Pittsburgh’s top bands, Punchline holds down the second spot, followed by Paper States. It sounds like a winning music trifecta! Mr. Smalls Funhouse, 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

3) Pirates battle the Cincinnati Reds again today as the the last game of a three game home stand. Every Sunday Pirates home game is Kids Day. There’s the Family Fun Zone on Federal Street from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., and then kids get a Pirate prize at the gate. After the game children are invited onto the field to run the bases. But be ready for a tough question from your kid. No, not “Where do babies come from?” but “Why don’t the Pirates ever make the playoffs?”  Fans 14 and younger receive a Kids Pirate Parrot Soap Dispenser. Maybe they won’t mind  bath time as much now.  1:35 p.m. PNC Park, North Shore.

4) Local guitar virtuoso Tony Janflone, Jr. and band brighten up a Sunday evening  on the South Side with sets at Carson City Saloon. 5:45 p.m. 1401 E. Carson St.
