Anti-Flag Celebrates Twenty Years (CP’s Thurs. 5/30/13)

1) Noted Pittsburgh Punk rockers Anti-Flag celebrate their 20th anniversary with concert sets that feature songs from each of their 10 albums. Although Anti-Flag plays internationally they have a special fondness for their home town and Mr. Smalls Funhouse. They will be performing tonight and tomorrow evening with different sets each night. Special guests are The Swellers, Hostage Calm and World’s Scariest Police Chases. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

2) It’s the battle of the baseball managers, Part II. Highly respected former Pittsburgh Pirates manager Jim Leyland brings his Detroit Tigers to Pittsburgh to take on the current Pirates manager Clint Hurdle and his squad in a nine- inning contest. 7:05 p.m. PNC Park. North Shore.

3) City Theatre is holding MOMENTUM,  City Theatre’s annual festival of new plays on different stages, a celebration of new theatrical works with readings, workshops, panels, and conversation. MOMENTUM is a chance for theater lovers to experience new works and obtain unique insights into the  playwrights’ inner musings. Runs through Sunday. All events take place at City Theatre, 1300 Bingham St., South Side.

4) College can be tough on a student’s brain and finances. Get relief for both at the Rowdy Buck bar on the South Side. Thursday night is College Night with $2 mixed drinks and $2 Bud Lights from 9 – 11 p.m. Ham Barbeque sandwiches only $1!! That’s almost equal to the cost per serving of other college student staples—-ramen noodles and Kraft Mac’ & Cheese. 1323 E.
