Outlaws Invade Jergel’s; Passion Pit at AE (CP’s Thurs. 6/6/13)

1) The Outlaws are in town! No, not the motorcycle club, I’m talkin’ about the Tampa southern rock band that has delivered hits like the epic “Green Grass and High Tides,” ” Hurry Sundown” and “Ghost Riders.” Their sound is based on harmonic vocals, multi-lead guitar arrangements and hard-driving drumbeats. Special guest is Ruff Creek. 8 p.m. Jergel’s Rhythm Grille, 103 Slade Lane, Warrendale.

2) Passion Pit plays Pittsburgh.  Sorry, couldn’t help playing with my peas. Passion Pit is a hot, rising American indie rock band who hails from Cambridge, Massachusetts and had a nice hit with “Take A Walk,” from their second studio album “Gossamer (2012).”  Special guest, Cults. Doors open at 7 p.m. Stage AE, 400 North Shore Dr., North Shore.

3) Do some drinking and dancing at Belvederes Ultra Dive NEON -80’s Night with DJ Hatesyou 2.0. 9 p.m. 4016 Butler St., Lawrenceville.

4)  Grandchildren, The Fleeting Few and Coronado are the rock groups playing tonight at the South Side’s Lava Lounge. 9:30 p.m. 2204 E. Carson St.
