Anything Goes at Heinz Hall (CP’s Tues. 4/16/13)

1) The curtain rises tonight on Anything Goes. This 2011 Tony Award winner for Best Musical Revival, floats into town as part of PNC’s Broadway Across America Series. Anything Goes is a  Cole Porter classic featuring romance on the high seas with a soundtrack that includes “Get a Kick Out of You,” “You’re The Top,” and “Anything Goes.” 7:30 p.m. Pre-show talk tonight. Runs through Sunday. Heinz Hall. 600 Penn Ave., Cultural District.

2) The post-rock, Kansas band, The Appleseed Cast, who rely on intricate drum and guitar interplay, is in concert tonight at Club Cafe. Special guest are Muscle Worship and Nevada Mountains. 8 p.m.  56-58 S. 12th St., South Side.

3) Watch out! Joey Bada$$ is in town, and he’s joined by Flatbush Zombies, The Underachievers, and DJ Statik Selektah. Bada$$, a Brooklyn MC and hip hop artist, headlines the Altar Bar music show. 7 p.m. 1620 Penn Ave., Strip District.

4) The Pirates continue their home stand today against the St. Louis Cardinals in a 7:05 p.m. game. PNC Park. North Shore.
