Dandy Warhols at Funhouse; Marina And The Diamonds at AE (CP’s Tues. 5/28/13)

1) Mr. Smalls Funhouse hosts The Dandy Warhols , an alternative rock band out of Portland, Oregon. The band will be performing from the album Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia with special guest The Shivas. 8 p.m. 400 Lincoln Ave., Millvale.

2) Welsh singer Marina Lambrini Diamandis, better known as Marina And The Diamonds plays a gig at Stage AE tonight. Wales is known for producing great singers like Tom Jones and actor Michael Douglas’ wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones. Diamandis rose to fame on the BBC. Opening is Charli XCX.  Doors open at 7 p.m. 400 North Shore Dr., North Shore.

3) Thunderbird Cafe’s Space Exchange series continues tonight with Colter Harper, a guitarist, percussionist, and vocalist for Pittsburgh’s best-selling band, Rusted Root. Harper is also a photographer and has a Ph.D. in ethnomusicology.  9 p.m. No cover. 4023 Butler St., Lawrenceville.

4) Saxophonist Tony Campbell, whose music has been influenced by jazz greats Coltrane, Turrentine and Parker, plays the Backstage Bar at Theater Square as part of the BNY Mellon Pittsburgh Cultural Trust’s JazzLive series. 5 – 7 p.m. No cover. 655 Penn Ave, Cultural District.
