Buck Day at Ball Yard (CP’s Wed. 4/3/13)

1) The Pirates continue their first home stand today as they take on the Chicago Cubs. PNC Park will be somewhat like the Dollar Store today with $1 tickets in select sections and hot dogs and popcorn available for only $1 at general concession stands. 7:05 p.m.  North Shore.

2) Union Pig & Chicken, Chef Kevin Sousa’s new BBQ and fried chicken restaurant and bar, is serving up some delicious, tender beef brisket, along with ribs, chicken, mac and cheese, greens…and whoopie pies. Specials daily at 5 p.m.  The East Liberty hot spot is open:  Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.,  and Friday–Saturday ’til 1 a.m. Sundays they serve up a chicken and waffles brunch from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Their second floor counterpart—Harvard and Highland— is open for cocktails until 2 a.m. daily and 11 p.m. Sunday. 220 N. 3) Spring break is over so catch up with your BFFs at Peter’s Pub‘s country music night with DJ JB.
