Dazz Band, KLYMAXX, and War Play Juneteenth Fest; Vanessa Collier at Hartwood (Sun., 6/19/22)

1)The WPA Juneteenth Freedom Days Celebration features many cultural events and activities at Point State Park. Another big aspect of the festival is a fantastic array of top national bands. Tonight’s groups are The Dazz Band (4 p.m.), KLYMAXX (6 p.m.), and War (8 p.m.). Top local jazz and soul bands will be playing in Market Square as well. Free. Last day.

2) Noted saxophonist Vanessa Collier performs tonight at Hartwood Acres as part of the Allegheny County Summer Convert Series. She was one of the performers in the virtual Save Moondog’s Concert in 2021. She plays a mix of blues, funk, and soul. Special guest is Chris BadNews Barnes. 7:30 p.m. Free. 4070 Middle Road, Allison Park.
