Jam on Walnut with BB Steal – ’80s Live; Carnegie Stage Has FireWALL Dance Burlesque Showcase; Hip Hop Night at AO Park (Sat., 6/26/21)

1) For four Saturdays every summer Walnut Street in Shadyside shifts its focus from the usual bustling bevy of bistros and boutiques to putting a bit of music in the air, courtesy of the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce. The annual Jam on Walnut series brings some big names out for free concerts that stop traffic and pack the street. Tonight’s edition features BB Steal – ’80s Live will be performing ’80s hits. All of the Jams On Walnut are free to attend and proceeds from food and drink sales benefit Animal Friends and the Bow Wow Buddies Foundation. 7 p.m. 5442 Walnut St., Shadyside.

2) Burlesque returns to Carnegie Stage with fireWALL dance‘s Amateur Burlesque
Showcase 2021, “a night of amazing performances celebrating our fabulous dancers.” There will also be special appearance by members of the faculty. Should be a fun and interesting event. 7 and 9 p.m. 25 W. Main St., Carnegie.

3) Tonight is the final night of the launch party for the Allegheny Overlook Pop-up Park and features an evening of some of Pittsburgh’s top hip hop artists. Headlining is Jordan Montgomery; also on the bill are Brittney Chantele, Live From the City, JM the Poet, DeeJay Aesthetics, Cam Chambers, and Sierra Sellers. 6 p.m. The event is hosted by the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership. 4)  Dancing Queen will put people on the dance floor at Baja Bar & Grill. The disco/funk band takes the stage at 8 p.m. 1366 Old Freeport Rd., O’Hara Township.
