Rose Royce and Arrested Development at Juneteenth Fest; No Bad JuJu Plays Jam on Walnut; (Sat., 6/18/22)

1) The WPA Juneteenth Freedom Days Celebration features many cultural events and activities at Point State Park. Another big aspect of the festival is a fantastic array of top national bands. Tonight’s groups are Roger Humphreys & RH Factor (4 p.m.), Arrested Development (6 p.m.), and Rose Royce (8 p.m.). Top local jazz and soul bands will be playing in Market Square as well. Free.

2) For four Saturdays every summer and fall, Walnut Street in Shadyside shifts its focus from the usual bustling bevy of bistros and boutiques to putting a bit of music in the air, courtesy of the Shadyside Chamber of Commerce. The annual Jam on Walnut series brings some big names out for free concerts that stop traffic and pack the street. Tonight’s edition features the dance band No Bad JuJu. All of the Jams On Walnut are free to attend. 7 p.m. 5442 Walnut St., Shadyside.
