The concert scene has been decimated by Covid-19. Some local musicians have been giving periodic mini-concerts from their homes. Now 62 local, and some national performers with Pittsburgh ties, have come together to play a virtual concert, Pittsburgh Service Staff Aid Benefit Concert, Saturday, April 18, with each musician playing from their own safe space. The concert is produced by Clyde Callicott of the acoustic rock trio Right TurnClyde for the benefit of Pittsburgh Service Staff AID. Their goal is to raise at least $20,000 for the Pittsburgh area service staff workers.

Among those slated to perform are: Joe Grushecky, Donnie Iris, Norman Nardini, Bill Deasy, John Vento with David Granatti, Jimbo Jackson, The Flow Band, Chris Higbee, The Borstal Boys, Chris Jamison, Lyndsey Smith, Frank Vieira, Matt Barranti, November Blue, and Dave Iglar. See the living room concert on Facebook and other social media outlets.

To make a contribution please go to https://app.mobilecause.com/vf/EBNHOSPITALITY or mail it to the United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania/1250 Penn Avenue/Pittsburgh, PA 15222. Please note it to the Emergency Basic Needs-Hospitality Workers on the memo to ensure it goes to this specific fund.
