The Ecolution Fashion Gala, whose goal is to highlight a better way of respecting the Earth through fashionable ecology, produced by Pittsburgh Earth Day, will be held, Wednesday, June 5 at the Carnegie Museum in Oakland.

Ecolution Fashion Gala is a very unique fashion show and is so creative that it’s been called Pittsburgh’s Met Gala. “This unprecedented collaboration with the Ecolution Green Fashion Gala event will bring attention to Pittsburgh” said Pittsburgh Earth Day founder, Ronda Zegarelli. “One of the most exciting highlights is our gracious donation from the Carnegie Museum via Volpatt Construction. Our new Curator, Brian David will repurpose the Red Velvet from the Chairs from the Carnegie Museum as a Couture Red Velvet Gown donning the Fashion Show Runway. “From Chairs to Couture.” This year’s Model Citizens Award recipient is Pittsburgh icon, and owner of Eons Fashion Antique, Richard Parsakian.

Local designers will create their own custom couture costumes for the runway show including: Beth Shari, Bradford Mumpower, Brandy Wank, Brian David, Christine Bethea
